Listening to Girls, Building Global Leaders

It started with two conversations.

The first was with one of our student volunteers who challenged us to bring Journey to Womb Wealth and Wellness to younger girls. She reminded us of something powerful. The journey does not begin in your 30s or 40s. It begins when you are a girl.

The second conversation happened during a morning walk in Kumasi with a small group of teenagers. We asked them what was missing. What did they want to talk about with their peers, aunties, and mentors?

Their answers were clear. Mental health. Their bodies. How to stay positive and confident as young women.

From those conversations, My Voice My Body My Power was born, created in direct response to what Ghanaian girls said they needed. The program centers body literacy, mental wellness, storytelling, confidence building, and leadership development so girls understand their voices matter and their futures are limitless.

Now we are taking the next step.

The Ghana Girls Go Global campaign builds on that foundation through a bold campaign to expand opportunities for Ghanaian girls to lead, learn, and engage the world beyond their borders. Through the 2026 Ghana Girls’ Empowerment, Educational and Cultural Exchange, selected girls will travel to Philadelphia for leadership workshops, cultural exchange, and global youth engagement connected to the FIFA World Cup moment. Launched on International Women’s Day, the campaign signals a bold commitment to ensuring Ghanaian girls have the opportunity to lead, learn, and engage the world beyond their borders.

This campaign is about more than travel.

It is about voice.

It is about confidence.

It is about global connection.

Because when girls find their voice early, there is no limit to how far they can go.
