An 8 day tour of Ghana, visiting Accra, markets, beaches, Kumasi, Traditional villages, the former slave castle at Cape Coast, and West Africa’s highest rainforest canopy walkway at Kakum National Park. Travelers will also have an opportunity to volunteer and give back through our partnerships.
Itinerary
Meet your arriving flight at Kotoka International Airport in Accra
Safe transport to your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle
Refresh and relax. Neighborhood or Accra city orientation as time permits.

Meet your guide at 9:30 AM and depart on guided tour of Accra
Visit to Kwame Nkrumah Monument, Independence Square, W.E.B. Du Bois Center, Makola Market, historic Jamestown, fashionable Oxford Street in Osu (with option of getting custom outfit tailored by local artisans)
Welcome lunch and discussion at local restaurant
Rest and reflection at your hotel

Morning flight to visit craft villages around Kumasi showcasing traditional crafts:
Kente cloth weaving, Adinkra cloth stamping, brass smithing, wood carving
Kumasi Home of the Ashanti King, Manhyia Palace, fly back to Accra

Morning departure for West Africa's highest rainforest canopy walkway
Crocodile ponds and weaver bird community at Hans Botel. Stingless bee facility.
Onward to the fishing village of Anomabu, tour the old town and Fort William.

Morning drive about an hour on the Kumasi highway to Assin Manso
Tour the former slave market and cemetery at Assin Manso, the Slave River
Tour the U.N. World Heritage Site of Cape Coast castle

Drive Time - 3 hours
Morning at the beach or visiting the old town, Fort William, and Posuban shrines
Depart to Bojo beach located next to the Densu river Delta Ramsar site and
Kokrobite Atlantic Ocean, hiking, biking and canoeing activities for extra fees

Afternoon departure to Accra stopping at the National art center to shop for more souvenirs and fabrics and already made clothes
